Apply To Be Part of CAE’s New Parent Advocacy Initiative

The Center for Arts Education’s Parent Fellows Initiative seeks parent leaders interested in joining a team dedicated to restoring arts education as an essential component of a New York City public school education.

Ideal candidates include NYC public school parents with some leadership experience who are interested in raising awareness about the benefits of arts education and in further developing their advocacy skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Visit two school-based parent meetings at schools other than your own to talk about CAE’s campaign
• Visit two schools during drop-off or pick-up hours to distribute campaign materials and collect signatures of interested parents
• Call parent lists to invite them to meetings and events
• Attend monthly evening meeting at CAE and participate in regular check-ins
