The Center for Arts Education's large Annex conference space is available for hourly rental. It can be used for events such as conferences, focus groups, training, meetings, retreats, script readings, rehearsals, meditation, receptions, exhibitions, auditions, etc. The space includes a main area, just over 1,000 square feet, along with access to a 405 square foot conference room with a conference table and chairs. Both rooms have a phone, a projection screen, an Ethernet drop for Internet access, and access to CAE's wireless network. Also available: 50+ chairs and 12 portable tables (30” x 60” each).
Weekday rental hours are between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. For functions beginning or concluding outside these hours, see below for additional fees. Our building is conveniently located on 34th Street, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, with access to the A, C, E, S, 1, 2, 3, 7 subways as well as NJ Transit, LIRR, and Amtrak trains right across the street in Penn Station. The N, Q, R, W, F, and V subways stop one block east, on Sixth Avenue.

The following additional equipment is available for use: slide projector, Mac or PC laptop for general Internet use, webcam, TV with DVD and/or VCR player, and flip charts. Nominal rental charges (detailed below) apply. Please let us know in advance which items you will need.
The walls occasionally have student artwork displayed but can be used to post your notes, artwork, etc. (See photo 4 for an example.)
There is a two-hour minimum for room rental.

For weekend, weeknight (after 6:00 PM), or early morning rates, add $5 to the per-hour charge.
Renters are responsible for the set-up and clean-up of the meeting rooms. There is a $20 fee for failure to clean up after a meeting. It is the renter's responsibility to be sure tables and chairs are set up for its meeting.
We require a written request on organizational letterhead, sent by mail, fax, or e-mail. The e-mail address to reserve meeting spaces is 411@caenyc.org. See current calendar for booked events.

If this is your first request for a meeting room rental at CAE, please also include:
Meeting time includes the time a group requires to set up and clean up. Therefore, please include this time in your request for a meeting space. For example, if your group starts at 9:30 AM and you need half an hour to set up, please request a start time of 9:00 AM. The same holds for clean-up. Please note that your group will be charged for both set-up and clean-up time.
Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting or the group will be charged the full amount for the meeting scheduled. If a group does not show up for its scheduled meeting, it will also be charged the full amount.
