Campaign to Ensure Arts in Every School

New York State mandated arts education is being denied to many public school students, resulting in a profoundly unequal quality of education.

In New York City, approximately 50% of all public elementary and middle schools are failing to provide the arts instruction that students are entitled to by law. Statewide reporting on arts instruction does not yet exist.

Legislation has been introduced in the State Legislature to ensure that the arts instruction is being provided for every child at every school.
