The Center for Arts Education launched a public awareness campaign sponsored by PaineWebber in 2000 to focus the public's attention on the arts as an essential component of a child's education. The campaign included mass-transit advertising with a call-to-action; a 24-hour, seven days a week hotline service; and an information packet.
