Partner: DreamYard Project, Inc. 

PS 220 and DreamYard used a CAE Leadership grant to create theater residencies that built on fourth grade literacy instruction by providing a response to literature and a way to explore character development. Students also learned ensemble-building and theater production skills. The partnership also explored ways to capture meaningful moments of spontaneous teaching and student learning that can escape documentation.

The Mott Haven Village School and its partners used a CAE Partnership Grant to build arts traditions, support effective collaborations, and include families in the arts education process. The 6th grade musical, K-3 dance and choral concert, 4th/5th Grade Playwrights Festivals, and the 7th and 8th Grade Arts Companies were focal points.
