April Armstrong is an actress, singer and storyteller. As a Teaching Artist, April works with Kindergarten through high school, teaching music, drama, improvisation, storytelling, musical theatre and creative dance. She has taught for Lincoln Center Institute, Amas Musical Theatre, Manhattan New Music Project, Henry Street Settlement, Carnegie Hall, The Masters School, and Brooklyn Academy of Music. Her theatre career includes Broadway National Tours, Regional theatres, Television, and Film. She has performed as a Storyteller for a variety of venues across the US and in Jamaica. She has written and performed the piece, Two Wings to Heaven; The Story of Bessie Coleman and is published in the Wall Street Journal best seller, The Big Moo. April holds a BM from Manhattan School of Music and an MA in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Visit April's website.
