Benjamin Posner

Benjamin PosnerBenjamin Posner is a theatre artist who has been living and working in New York City since 2004. He has performed with several New York based theatre companies including Collaboration Town and Accomplice, NY. Ben is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association and has toured nationally and internationally as a musical theatre performer including the original cast of “SpongeBob SquarePants The Musical: The Sponge Who Could Fly,” starring as Mr. Krabs and lending his voice to the character of Plankton. As a writer, performer, and producer Ben has worked with North Palm Wrestling, a comedy show in syndication on MTV. He has also lent his voice to Pepsi-Cola, McDonalds, and Expedia as a radio and television commercial announcer. Benjamin is a graduate of Boston University’s school for Theatre Arts and is currently a master’s candidate at The City College of New York’s (CCNY) program for Educational Theatre. While working towards his degree at CCNY Ben has worked closely with Lincoln Center Institute to bring their educational model to both students and faculty at City College through professional development workshops. Ben also serves on the board of directors at People’s Theatre Project, a nonprofit, community-based organization that uses theatre to raise the awareness of urgent issues impacting Washington Heights and Inwood. Ben is also a teaching artist for People’s Theatre Project leading theatre classes for members of the elderly community. Ben is extremely proud to be on the teaching artist roster at The Center for Arts Education and is dedicated to providing quality arts education to New York City’s public schools.
