Ekiuwa Asemota

Ekiuwa (pronounced “Eh-Key-Wa”) Asemota, born of parents from Nigeria and the Dominican Republic, is the owner of Eki's Famous LLC, Jewelry + Performing Arts. A lifetime experience company, that is renowned, celebrated and inspiring. Her jewelry not only defines a look but each piece, is inspired by people and daily life occurrences. Eki’s famous has been honored to design for such celebrities as Natalie Cole, Sade, Joe, Chrisette Michelle, Malik Yoba, Wendy Williams and Susan Taylor. Her Jewelry is sold online, festivals, events and various boutiques.

With dance we performs unique and realistic stories to enlightened people and to bring more peace into the world. Ekiuwa started her career in the arts at an early age of nine, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a dance minor. Trained in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Hip Hop, Meringue, Tap, Praise/Liturgical Dance and Capoiera. Ekiuwa is currently a freelance dance teacher, performer and member of Temples of Praise Dance Ministry at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Brooklyn New York. "When I am designing, performing or choreographing, I'm motivated by friends and family, who tell me their stories, and what happened to them throughout the day," says Eki. "I love to create unique art that identify with people's individuality." With Eki's Famous, anyone can find a piece they like-----one that fits their famous style.

Eki Asemota has been a Dancer Teacher for the past 5 years. She didn’t realize my passion for teaching till the moment she started. “ I thought to myself, why not give it a shot”, She was hired on her first interview, After leaving her career in the fashion industry but continuing her Jewelry line. Teaching created a world of sensibility and belonging. ‘"You can connect to your soul’s purpose given a rhythm and some music".
