Wayne “Bud” Ramsay is on a mission to spread love, inspiration, and positive vibrations through the art of music. Singing words of wisdom to create a balance in the world, Wayne “Bud” Ramsay’s newest project is F.Y.R.E.ZONE (an acronym for: Finding Your Rhythm through Education). F.Y.R.E.ZONE's first release, “Only Love” featuring Vice President of F.Y.R.E.ZONE, Dapheney “Demi” St. Fleur, is a song about attributing love as a powerful measure in togetherness.
Dapheney “Demi” St. Fleur collaborated with Wayne “Bud” Ramsay and formed FYREZONE; an entertainment company for and of the people. FYREZONE (Finding Your Rhythm thru Education) incorporates music and education all in an effort to inspire and encourage the creative development of particularly young people and people of all ages. On a mission to change the world one song at a time FYREZONE supports the work of schools by adding that creative element to the basics of instructional curriculums; setting a standard of discipline and excellence both in and out of the classroom. Bud Ramsay’s newest solo release “Champion,” a song about progress, is now on iTunes (courtesy of Star Level Entertainment ™).
Undoubtedly a trendsetter in many ways; Bud Ramsay is turning out universal sounds rooted in Reggae/Soca genres. This lyrical mastermind has captured our hearts since the tender age of 16 and now delivers commanding messages from life experience and everyday ghetto survival.
Born in Jamaica into a musical family, Bud Ramsay first sang in the church choir. He moved to New York, joined the Wingate High School choir and won numerous awards including "Best Male Voice and Best Performance," and was officially honored by New York City for “Excellence In Music”. By his senior year in High School Bud Ramsay had developed a “grassroots” Reggae following and was able to tour with and be featured on the Brooklyn based Reggae sound system Black Creation. He performed with: Shabba Ranks, Bounty Killer and Beenie Man, et al.
One day, while singing on the stoop, Bud Ramsay’s soulful voice caught the ear of Devon George, a Trinidadian producer who would introduce him to a new Caribbean genre of music, Soca.
Bud Ramsay has collaborated with talented individuals such as: Nikki Minaj, Britney Spears, Wyclef Jean, Bob Sinclair, Full Force, Jim Johnston, Tony “CD” Kelly. He made an appearance on Britney Spears’ album on Jive Records, “In The Zone” on the tune “The Hook Up.” He released “My Everything” on the “Mamacita Riddim” album (produced by Edwin Howell) and “Cry” (produced by Tony „CD‟ Kelly) on the “Grindin Riddim” album, both on the VP Records Riddim Driven Series. Bud Ramsay also recorded a single with Wyclef Jean on Wyclef‟s “Creole” album and he also recorded a track with Full Force for the late Gerald Levert.
With his tune, "Man Ah Bad Man" Bud Ramsay’s single-handedly created a new trend in Soca music. The single quickly shot to the top of the 1998 Caribbean charts and he has since been in high demand for international appearances. Bud Ramsay’s truly unique interpretive phrasings are incomparable. Before long he performed with every major Soca act including Machel Montano and Iwer George, the two people he credits most with teaching him what Soca culture is all about.
While Bud Ramsay’s song, "Man Ah Bad Man” was hitting the charts at #1 in the Caribbean during the years 1998 and 1999, Bud Ramsay was touring the Caribbean, the U.S. and Canada. He shared stages with Beres Hammond (for which he appeared on the national television show, “Good Morning America”), Shaggy, Buju Banton, Bounty.
