Wendy Blum

Wendy BlumWendy Blum (MA-NYU, PerfStudies; BA-Wesleyan University, Dance/COL) is a dancer/choreographer/educator. Her performance group, blum dance theatre has been presented extensively in NY, PA, MA, CT, and Canada. Blum is a teaching artist and consultant in aesthetic education. She has worked with thousands of students from preK through grad school with Lincoln Center Institute (since 1999), Orchestra of St. Luke’s (since 2003), Literacy Support (since 2009), and is now pleased to join the team at Center for Arts in Education. She has taught at the 92nd Street Y, at Wesleyan University, and was the dance teacher/resident choreographer at Convent of the Sacred Heart/91st Street from 1992-1999. She has created dances for Jacob’s Pillow Touring Ensemble and for public and private school students in five states. She is on the NYC Department of Education facilitation team for teacher professional development in dance and is a Coach/Facilitator for the i3-Arts Achieve Grant with Dance Education Laboratory.
