Teaching Artist Institute

The Teaching Artist Institute (TAI) offers high-quality training for artists and teaching artists to work in schools and provide quality arts instruction for students, to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, and to help build an ongoing commitment within a school to arts classes and instruction. In partnership with the Council on Arts and Humanities on Staten Island (COAHSI), The Center for Arts Education offers workshops through TAI that include: professional development in diverse artistic mediums; art classes for special education populations and inclusion classes; aligning the arts with classroom curriculum and the NYC DOE Blueprint.
